A change is as good as a holiday, so they say.
And after a bloggy hiatus, I made a few.
And voila ! Here is the result !
I’ve taken away the “Mama”, kept the “Grace” and jazzed it up a little with a pun. (Inspiration hits you at the most unexpected moments).
After some reassessing and the uncanny timing into the brand new year, it only made sense that I embraced the beautiful possibilities of starting from a blank canvas.
It’s going to be my third attempt at making a bloggy home for myself.
That’s okay.
I just realised that having constantly moved around 3 countries, 6 cities, over 20 different houses and apartments throughout my life, I’m probably more resilient and adapting than my waning self-confidence gives me credit for.
I started freaking out about how I was going to lose all my readership. Knowing that a completely new name will play a hindrance on minor technical details like having to start a new FaceBook page and building from ground up with email/RSS subscribers.
So what ?
It’s going to take more than peripherals to tarnish my determination in creating a better blog. Or just to continue blogging in general.
Because despite the break I took, I never lost my faith in the good of the blogging community. I am rock solid certain about those who will come back and find me again.
Thank you to those who reached out and checked in while I was away.
You guys are gold. Seriously.
I also need to make a special mention to the totally awesome Aly over at Bridge Works Blog Designs. Despite the difference in time zones and being oceans apart, Aly did an amazing job in not only knowing what I wanted, she created something so beautiful that went beyond my expectations..
So, welcome to my new cyberspace abode !
I’m looking forward to reconnecting with everyone.
I’ve really missed you all. Truly.
Edit:
Just as my bloggy break was a timely one, so has been my return.
Today, as I relaunch myself into the blogosphere with a (kinda) new identity, we celebrate the twinlets’ second birthday.
All the stars are aligned. All in my world is in its rightful place. Everything is pointing to the reminder that this humble little blog of mine is, and always will be, dedicated to, and inspired by, my beautiful family.
LOVE the new name!! I must admit sometimes I’m not sure if I still really like my blog name that much either but find it hard to come up with something else! x
Thanks, Christine ! I hadn’t been happy with the name of my last blog for aaaages. Funny how certain circumstances help you find the inspiration 😉

Welcome back gorgeous xo
Thanks, Trish ! I’ll be back on Wordless Wednesday before you can say, “My Little Drummer Boys…” 😀
Grace! How awesome is your new blog!?! I LOVE the name, and I love the look! It’s definitely easier to navigate (I’m a big believer in simplicity and clear spaces).
Firstly, I’ve truly missed you and was becoming concerned, but sorry I didn’t check in with you sooner. You were in my thoughts – but knowing you were still popping up on my FB page brought a smile to my face.
Secondly, I think a fresh start is a glorious thing. One of my favourite sayings is “If these don’t change, they’ll stay the same”. Nothing like it to invigorate your blogging brain and attitude. Who cares about the peripherals, like you said. I went through this 4 months ago and I don’t regret it. Better to do it sooner than later too. Within weeks your readership will follow. And if people don’t – then good riddance. They probably weren’t worth carrying around, ya know?
Happy Birthday to your beautiful little boys! – what a great occasion to launch yourself… right into their 3rd year… I sense that your life (and theirs) is on the cusp of great big positive changes. This blog makeover is heralding that.
And finally, I love the little reminders from your old blog, you’ve carried some quintessential Grace with you – the sarong hearts from your wedding. So special.x
Welcome back Grace! x

Ah, Deb. Thanks so much for your beautiful, thoughtful comments.
I love that quote you mentioned. It just rings so true, doesn’t it ?
As for the readership, it comes back whose genuine and loyal, right ?
All the people that I knew would comment, have. And that makes me happy.
Launching the blog today just felt that the timing was so right.
Thank you for your love and support xxx
Looking good! I like your header photo
