2015 is shaping out to be an interesting year.
Having come across a potential job opportunity before Christmas, initial talks with the potential employer were strictly casual.
Casual because as the opportunity came up quite suddenly.
For the guys offering the job, the need to fill the role was urgent.
As it worked out – casual can materialize itself into commitment.
Which then transforms a coffee meeting last Friday into a part time role as a business development manager for a thriving and innovative financial services company, starting tomorrow.
Yes. TOMORROW.
I officially become a working gal.
But I’m ready.
Equally nervous as I am excited.
The thought that there are expectations to be met is a little daunting.
Then again, being a mum those are constantly tackled and successfully slam dunked every day.
It’s just been so long while since I’ve been put on that corporate measure.
Five and a half years to be exact.
I don’t know how this is going to pan out.
While the job has got the two big ticks I need right now – flexibility and permanent employment – the circus juggling is going to be crazier than ever.
One day it’ll be spinning plates chaotic.
The next it’ll be breathing eating dramatic.
I know it’s going to be about military precise time management.
I know I will need to be easy on myself.
I know I’m up for it.
I know I’d rather give it a go, then fail rather than be too chicken shit to attempt at all.
I also believe in signs.
As it works out, the day I go back into the work force, – starting this significant new chapter in my motherhood journey – happens to also be the very day the twinions turn five.
Yup.
Shaping out to be a very interesting year, indeed.

So exciting for you Grace! It’s funny seeing all these bloggers I’ve ‘known’ for years having life changes because all our babies are getting older. It’s like a mothers group where everyone starts being who they are and not just a mum and blogger. Does that make sense?
Anyway, I’m very excited for you. Even if you did just part with your suits 🙂
