Despite the tumultuous weather on Sunday, we decided to brave the dark clouds and head over to Manly.
It takes two ferry ride for us to get there.
The first saw lots of excitement and anticipation.
The second proved to be rather choppy and the crashing waves turned a tummy or two.
But it seemed that one twinlet is like me, and doesn’t mind a rocking boat so much.
While, the other is just like his dad…
Do you or your children get seasick?
P.S Don’t forget, if you live in or visiting Sydney, make the most of the Sydney Family Funday Sunday ticket. $2.50 for unlimited access on all public transport including ferries. Children under the age of 3 are free!

I love that trip to Manly. Not so much on the ferry though. None of our kids get seasick – just me – often violently so!

I don’t think Lil Pumpkin is but she hasn’t been on a long ferry ride yet.. just short river cruises. I do get seasick if it’s a long ride π thanks for the tip on the Sunday ticket. I really want to visit Sydney again!

We took the boys on a ferry ride to Rottnest Island last year, they loved it-hope it was a good day out for your family. Another adventure for the boys

Thankfully, Dora doesn’t get seasick which is a good thing as hubby and I are both sailors and into water sports π I really love that third photo π

We actually haven’t taken them on a ferry trip – but when they’re older we’ll take the ferry to Manly to show them where mum and dad used to live π

My twins don’t mind the water , neither do we but put on choppy choppy waters and we go green.

Such gorgeous possums Grace. My hub doesn’t mind the rough seas, but Bell and I would prefer the calm. xx

I’m prone to sea sickness but not to the point where I throw up. Fairly frustrating as it takes a good while to abate.

I don’t really get seasick but just a little bit carsick in the mountains when there’s lots of turning.

Looks like it was a good family adventure.
I use to have to catch a boat to work – in winter I not only use to feel awful but also fearful on some days. Not into big waves coming up the sides of boats.

I do not, but I do get carsick driving in the mountains. All those switchbacks, yikes. The only way to avoid it is for me to drive, if I’m the passenger I might toss my cookies!

No motion sickness bracelets? All our friends and their kids wear them to ride the bus. Yeah, our bus drivers are crazy. As for me, my husband and apparently our offspring – we’re immune to hand-eye-land-eye-brain-fluid coordination. In other words, we’re too dumb to get seasick…or catch a cold.

I get really sea sick, which is terrible for a fishermans wife! What a disappointment I am π

Great tips for cheap travel for families. I get very seasick when it is rolling. My hubby likes to go cray fishing, but when the boat stops, it gets worse, for me and my son. He was beggin for other passing boats to take him back to shore! Although he absolutely loves crayfish!! I have been on a couple of Manly trips, only the last one freaked me out. It was very choppy.

My husband gets terribly seasick, he used to work in the North Sea on the rigs there and his two weeks on were a nightmare.
I LOVE the sea and don’t get seasick, my family had boats and spent the summer holidays sailing in Scotland.
As you can see, he and I are perfectly suited!
