Yesterday, we cancelled the twinlets’ swimming lessons.
For whatever reason, things at our current pool haven’t really been clicking for us for a while. Well, more importantly, for the boys.
We thought that maybe they just weren’t water babies or the pool was too cold or had too much chlorine.
But we discovered that this wasn’t the case…and the proof is in the belly flops.
Have you ever had to change swimming schools for your kids? Do they love doing belly flops? Was that a dumb question?
Joining the lovely Trish at My Little Drummer Boys for Wordless Wednesday.
ahh! my daughter loves doing Blastoffs from the side and big belly flops!!
My son is almost 2 (next weekend) and he gets ready to jump… looks like he is going to jump…. then he sits on his bottom, turns over and slides in.. I am in a fit of giggles everytime!

My kids never really took to swimming lessons, which is kind of a shame in our great Qld climate!

I’ve just cancelled my daughters swimming lessons too – it was becoming too much a of battle ground. So I thought we’d take a break for winter. I’m pretty sure she’s be happy to belly flop like that though, haha! Great workout for dad too x

what kid doesn’t love a belly flop? I’m sure that there are adults out there who would too! We’ve not had to change swimming schools ast yet, LM loves his swimming classes – his current teacher is awesome!

Haven’t had to change swimming schools as we only have one here in my home town – however had found that some teachers my child just doesn’t gel with and it is a complete waste of time to attend. Guess it is a bit like school – the teacher is the person who makes or breaks a class, you can pay for the best school and end up with the worst teacher.

My girl loves the water but every time she goes to our club pool, she falls ill! Maybe we need to look at changing the venue of our swims too :/

Great shots. My kids ARE NOT water babes, or weren’t until the girls started swimming this year. Now, my eldest is a fish! I hope you find a better swim school for your boys.

And yes I would change swimming schools if I needed to!
I think whatever makes kids happy works well π
We changed swimming schools too, then stopped all together. John ended up teaching Bell at home and now she’s a fish.

Hilarious! Is that Cook and Phillip?? Love that pool for wee ones. Your story of poo and parking tockets had me shuddering. If only ALL playgrounds had loos inside them, life would be so much easier!

My daughter loves swimming lessons – but only since we bought a house that has a pool.
And yep she loves belly flops. I am not sure why though because they really look like they hurt.

Punky is an absolute water baby but we just haven’t had a chance to get her enrolled in swimming lessons yet but we really need to. I’m hoping once PJ#2 has come along and we have settled in to life with 2 kids we’ll be able to get her in. I hope you find a new place for the twinlets lessons that they love!
