Last month, I signed up for personal training sessions again.
6am starts. In the dead of winter. Not very smart, am I ?
And just in case you were wondering, this is what 5:30am looks like…
Anyway, the training’s been great. I’m up against four guys and yes, the Rocky Balboa competitive chick in me is making sure I whip their princess butts.
Afterwards, while feeling victorious and pumped up with endorphins, I witness this…
And this…
And these…
They say behind every dark cloud there’s a silver lining. I say, after trudging through that ungodly hour, there’s always a beautiful sunrise.
Linking up with Trish at My Little Drummer Boys for Wordless Wednesday.
.
oooh those pics are stunning! You must feel amazing after you’ve done your training! I am inspired! Cheers, Mez

There’s nothing like claiming the day as your own from the very moment you get up….or perhaps an hour later, once the sun has risen and those endorphins begin surging through your body! Go Gracie – you’ve got me pumped and appreciative all at once.

Absolutely stunning photos.
I’m not sure that they would be able to convince me to exercise in the dark though!
I am impressed Grace! You go, girl. 🙂
And stunning views for sure!

Gorgeous photos Grace. I used to live in your neck of the woods and I do miss that ocean. A great reward for such an ungodly start to the day.

Are you actually training in the mornings or are you just taking photos? I can see how the photos can absolutely make it worth it 😉

The beautiful peace of Nature during early morning does naturally keep me going on the bike at early hrs…..I get into work early ..just before 7:00 am which is incredibly early since I don’t start work until 7:30 am.
It became a habit, not because I had to get to work but also on weekends, during the summer, some days, it was easiest to cycle during early morning for a few hrs. because of smoggy humid heat. Canada does experience summers of 30- 35 degrees C in various parts of the country.
But I’ve been like this since I returned to cycling to work 20 yrs. ago. Believe me, when you build it into the natural rhythms of your daily life, you will grow in understanding to want this and to crave for it.
I dunno – looks like there’s a lot of God in that hour. You go, mama!

Those photos are lovely! I think that you are inspiring me to get up early to exercise! You are making me feel guilty for all my “sleep-ins” (with a 10 week old baby, a sleep in is 6.30am!)
