I’m all cosy and rugged up with a big blanket of love and friendship today. Is it just in preparation for the big V-day ? Maybe.
But what I’m talking and thinking about is just how awesome this blogosphere and the people you find in it can be.
I was adamant that I had lost all of my words. I even wrote about it here about how I had made peace with it. I was surrendering it all to the black hole of cyberspace.
Now, I’m a great believer that everything happens for a reason. I believe that there are things you can ask the Universe for. There are times when She might give it to you straight away, or hand over an alternative. She might not quite say, “No”, but instead say, “Just wait.”
But no matter what – as many of my own experiences tell me – whatever the outcome is, it’s been for my own best interest.
So, going back to my lost blog – the Universe and me ? We were cool. I asked Her. (More like, begged). But She didn’t think I needed my content that badly. And so I decided to move on.
Happily playing with the boys at the park yesterday, I spotted an email on my phone from Veronica at Mixed Gems. She wrote to say that all of my old posts – all 110 of them – were in her Google Reader RSS Feed. She attached a list of the post titles to make sure its the same ones that have been missing. And the moment I read the opening sentences of all those posts – I tell you – it truly felt like I was reuniting with an old, long, lost pal.
The Universe was giving my words back to me. She graciously handed them over through a thoughtful, considerate, sweet friend from the blogosphere. Veronica took time out of her already busy schedule to email through to me, one by one, each of the 110 posts.
“Thank you” just doesn’t cut it.
I hope it won’t be long till I get to see Veronica to tell her in person just how grateful I am. I think I’ll end up hugging her so tight, she’s going to think I’m a lunatic. But I assure you (ahem), I’m not.
I’m just so friggin’ happy and ecstatic with the world right now.
