Out of the blue one day, the twinlets began something new. Closing their eyes, folding their hands in front of them, they spoke in their usual toddler jibber-jabber but then end the sentence with something that awfully sounded like, “Amen”
6 months ago, I tried to try and teach them how to say grace or a quick prayer before going to bed but I honestly didn’t think it was sinking in. So, I stopped.
Where they’ve suddenly picked up the gestures on how to pray, really leaves me flabbergasted. We think that they’ve been observing my parents.
Whether you’re religious or not, there’s something to be said about seeing children wish with such earnest for the things that they hold most dear.
In K-Bear’s (red pj’s) case, it’s his beloved Thomas the Tank Engine toys…Oh, and his milk…
Linking up with Trish at My Little Drummer Boys for Wordless Wednesday.
Nawwww so sweet!! 😀

Haha, thanks Carmen ! See ya tomorrow on FYBF, yes ? 😉
Oh my, that is the most adorable thing ever! I’m not that religious but after that I kinda wish I was.
I think just seeing them so innocently and earnestly wishing so much for their little toys…makes me wish I had that kind of “faith” too 🙂
Very Very cute Grace. I agree that even if you’re not religous it doesn’t hurt for them to learn and be aware of faith and wish and acknowledge love of someone or something.

Thanks, Nat! That’s exactly it! That level of faith and such love for something so important. When do adults lose that ?

You know how gorgeous I think this clip is! And you’re right, there’s something so sweet about the earnestness about what they hold dear. x

Yes, I loved your comment on FB. So much so I had to read it out to Mr Surfer. x
Gorgeous!! It’s amazing how much kids take in when you don’t think they are being attentive at all.

How cute is that?!?
And Thomas, and Percy, and Thomas, and Percy!
Amen!
So cute!!
It’s funny what kids pick up! Fraser gets very excited about princesses at the moment, and piped up with “CINCESS!” the other day when a show came on TV – I’m assuming it’s because Roo is all about princesses, so he’s decided that’s the way to be!
