Prior to leaving the corporate world to have babies, I distinctly remember the significant shift that companies were trying to encourage: the work/life balance lifestyle.
Zipping around all corners of Sydney from one client meeting to another, I was always equipped with the ever trusty mobile, laptop, Wifi device and the not so ever reliable VPN connection. Yet it never really felt like I ever really left my office. I never got that true sense of freedom or flexibility.
Of course, life’s very different now.
The fact that I can blog about anything, write and communicate from just about anywhere has helped lift the usual limitations of creativity and inspiration.
I bet you feel the same.
I’m a geek at heart (thanks to 10 years in IT Sales). So, when the delivery man dropped by, he was surprised that I was already at the door before he had a chance to ring the doorbell.
“How did you know I was coming?”
“I’ve been sitting here by the front window waiting for you. Duh.”
Doesn’t everyone do that when they’re getting a package of gadget goodies?
Logitech have released the Case+. It’s the one sturdy case with a metal backing and provides plenty of protection for that lifeline of yours (ie. your iPhone). There’s also some great accessories to add on.
Case+ Drive: It has a magnetic mount so if you’re like me and forever misplace your phone when you’re in the car, you now have a perfect spot for it.
But remember: Never use your phone while driving! Always keep your eyes on the road!
Case+ Energy: Big pet hate of mine? Running out of power in mid conversation or listening to music on the tready.
I always make it a habit to always charge my phone when I’m in the car.
When testing it, I found it to be a little fiddly fitting the phone into the charging plug of the battery pack. Also, it would only intermittently charge up from the car’s USB port. Not quite sure why.
Plus side? The battery pack actually has 2300 mAh. Geek talk meaning your iPhone gets double the power. Woot!
Case+ Tilt: This one is my fave! A magnetic backing attaches to the case and it simply folds to make a stand for your iPhone.
I definitely loved the Case + Tilt the best. The bright pink colour breaks up the usual drab grey of all things technical.
It just sits comfortably as I set myself outside in the “backyard office”, happily tapping away on my laptop while still feeling connected and in full view of incoming messages.
Guess what, lovelies? I’m giving away a cute Mini Boom Bluetooth Wireless Speaker (valued at $99) to one lucky FYBFer!

Update 02/03: Winner of the Logitech Giveaway is Karina Lee! Congratulations!
While I need the case & energy (because I’m always on low battery, it seems), I’d love the Mini Boom as son has taken to walking around with head phones on, telling me what he’s listening to, that makes me want to hear it too…Might actually get him back in our Universe for a bit….

Cute speakers! Hubby needs one of those protective cases. Well, not now – his current phone is smashed beyond recognition so it’s a little late. But when he FINALLY upgrades, for sure! Thanks for hosting #FYBF.

They say right time, right place. My phone cover broke 2 weeks ago and I have a loner and was just thinking…I NEED to get some time this weekend to get a new case and work out the best way to talk in the car as I always forget my headphones and they are really annoying to use on the road. Love love the pink!!

I subscribed to your blog via email AGES ago! You are indeed a geek extaordinaire! I was in sales (not IT) in Sydney back in the Eighties and the only technology I had was a pager. There were no mobiles back then so the reps had to call in to the office on a pay phone. Dearie me I’m old!

My one and only pieces of Logitech – sadly – is my wireless mouse – it’s been a saviour many a times, especially when in hospital with babies, before smartphones were as awesome meant I could send and load photos to family of my precious new babies without any dramas! Thanks for hosting xx

After dropping my iPhone at the beach in the sand at night, I think I may need a new phone. So thankful to have it and all my photos on it back but it hardly holds the charge for long, or perhaps I’m a bit excessive and use it far too much.
Case plus energy for me.

I love the Logitech keyboard that we bought. We have an apple laptop and I love it but hate that it doesn’t have a numerical pad, so we bought one that we plug in and use all the time with the very important numerical pad on the side, I love it!
Looks awesome! Kinda wishing I had an iPhone5 now! My fave logitech product would be my blutooth keyboard for the iPad. That baby is awesome! It turns the iPad in to a mini laptop and has made it even easier to use it for blogging. Love it!

I haven’t used many things logitech but I love the look of the case and tilt. Would help with the breastfeeding, phone holding juggle and help the music project better when I’m listening to Pandora as I do the dishes 🙂 Great prizes x

I currently use the wireless mouse and it’s the best thing – makes life with my computer so much easier when it’s cord free!
I am SO bad at remembering to recharge my phone, so I love the Logitech Case + Energy … It keeps me in touch with friends and family much more reliably.
Case+ Tilt is my favourite with all its features.. It will make my life easy while travelling in bus or train by allowing me to watch videos comfortably. Plus magnetic back will allow me to keep my phone on a magnet attracting surface and i will never loose it….
My Logitech wireless mouse never disappoints me even after being tossed on the floor by my naughty boy for several times. It’s really durable and reliable just like my hubby. 😀
My Logitech Wireless Headset… with two noisy teenagers in the house it’s a godsend. Not only does it allow me to listen to my own music, but it blocks out the racket from their video games (and arguments) as well.
