It can’t be denied that ye ol’ blog has been suffering from severe neglect.
It certainly isn’t due to lack of thoughts or ideas.
I could always bitch and moan about racking over $500 in speeding fines and parking tickets in less than a month. (Just one of each but yes, a hefty one of each!)
There’s the late night trip to the hospital that resulted from K-Bear’s fever riding high and peaking at 39.5.
The urge to write about business encounters with highly rude people and all the mental strength and integrity it takes to not punch them in the face.
But just as my lounge room space isn’t conducive for me to do much more than look after sick kids and husband and go to work, my headspace is just as cluttered.
If there’s anything I firmly believe through the trials and tribulations of parenting is that yes, “This too shall pass”.
But I’ve also been long enough at this to know what sticks.
And if I can still blog, albeit infrequently, through the eye of this storm, I’m pretty sure all these stories I have piled up will soon each have their place in a post.
To all my fellow bloggy comrades attending ProBlogger this weekend, you will surely come back with plenty of your own. I look forward to reading them! Enjoy!
Are you Problogging it this weekend? How do you deal with randomly rude people? Been booked lately? (I hope not!)

1. Follow With Some Grace.
2. Sign up to the awesome Digital Parents community ( if you haven’t already done so). DP was created by Brenda Gaddi who happens to be the creator of FYBF. She’s also created 4 gorgeous kidlets. In case you’d like to know. Or maybe not. But we’ll share that info just the same.
3. Add your post URL to the FYBF linky. Please only link up one post.
4. Grab the funky FYBF button and post it on your sidebar. Help spread the blogfloggin love.
5. Visit the blogs of your fellow FYBF’ers and share the comment love

The way I’ve been speeding about the ACT in the last week trying to be everywhere at once, it wouldn’t surprise me if I get a yucky surprise in the letterbox one day soon.
I’m not attending ProBlogger. I am looking forward to all the posts and social media surrounding it though!
When it comes to randomly rude people I just say to myself “I’ve only got to deal with them for five minutes, they have to live with themselves forever”.

I miss your words, but absolutely please only share them when your head’s in the right space to do so! Knowing I’ll see your face every Friday at least is fantastic! Wish you were here at #pbevent. Love to you beautiful xx

Oh Grace, I so know what you mean by a cluttered head space and it is so hard to blog when it’s like that let alone focus on other things! It definitely will pass, it’s just one of those things that go hand in hand with being a multitasking mummy and juggling many things. Love from #pbevent!

It’s all about the seasons of you life, Grace. Sometimes you have the time and headspace. sometimes you just don’t.
As for randomly rude people, I really don’t get it!
Have a glorious weekend with your family xx

I’m not at ProBlogger in person but will be stalking the internet about it over the next couple of days! I hope all the attendees will be blogging all about it!

You sound like you’re struggling to be everyone’s loving support & id like to know who is caring for you? Ok, I know this too shall pass but it is truly hard yards isn’t it? You are doing a great job! Hey, city to surf again! Yay.
I only went to one PBEvent & bought tickets to others which I sold. Today I wrote about PBEvent2011!! Denyse x

I’m not at ProBlogger this year. In fact, I probably should be. I turned down 3 paid posts (for various reasons) in the last fortnight but agreed to another for product only- because it amused me. I have no business sense haha!

Grace, I’m the same! Sooooooo many posts and so little good head space and actual time to sit and write them. However, the posts keep banking up in my head so I figure one day I’ll just have to get them out!! Love reading your posts 🙂

I’m not at Problogger and already suffering from #PBEvent envy!
I’m actually doing some transcribing for a psychologist at the moment (at home) and I’d seriously LOVE to write about some of the stuff I’m reading. Nothing salacious, just concerns that so many people have that I can relate to and I’m sure others would to. But… of course, I can’t write about it – which is frustrating!
I’ve been in a bloggy slump as well but guess I just keep chugging away and posting when I can! You’ve got a lot on your plate so don’t be too hard on yourself!

Hang in there Grace! I know the feeling as I am reaching the pointy end of building a house (4 weeks to go), selling a house, preparing to move, juggling a business, a young family and hubby’s work is flat out too. You just have to put one foot in front of the other and keep going. And blog when you can squeeze it in! Just remember to take care of you. I’ll try to remember that too 🙂

All you need on top of work and sick kids and rude people is a speeding ticket and parking fine!
I hope things calm down for you soon.

There must be something in the air at the moment because I have read several blog posts lately with similar feelings. As I do, I nod my head as I have been feeling exactly the same way too! I had to step back from my blog for a little bit recently to focus on what was most important – my family. I hope life slows down a little for you soon. Sadly I’m not ProBlogging this weekend, but maybe it was meant to be as the timing certainly isn’t right for me right now as I have a lot going on. But I’m sure to be watching social media accounts of other bloggers to get my fill and look forward to their blog posts after the event. Hopefully I’ll be there next year!

Totally get where you are coming from! I’ve just returned to posting on my first blog which I had neglected since April, when I began my second blog. Things happen, life moves on, but then you do return when the time is right and that’s probably when your writing will be at its best 🙂

Oh Grace, I hope your twinions are on the mend, and you get to have a nice rest on the weekend. I have had the same feelings about my blog. We’ve had a crappy Winter with one sickness after another, it would be so easy for me to write post after post about it, but its not thrilling reading! Hoping you get your blogging mojo back soon as I enjoy reading your posts x

Yep know how you feel. I have had sick kids, plus working full time and maintaining a house has meant less blogging. I plan to rectify that this coming week. Sometimes it’s just so hard to fit it all in. No pro blogger for me, I would love to get there one year..maybe it will come to Sydney next time…*crosses fingers*

I’m slow blogging at the moment too. Life is too busy and though I have much to say , there is no time to say it .
I’m not problogging in QLD but paddling and today we won Gold.

I’m not at Problogger – I have never been to Problogger but today Problogger was everywhere in my Twitter feed… I feel as though I am missing out on something… but then I took a two hour nap and woke up and was glad I was at home, in my little nest, with my laptop and free time to just write 🙂 Hope your household is on the mend. xx

This winter has not been fun for winter bugs attacking the little people. My little blog has been building cobwebs the last few weeks because I just did not have enough free arms to type as well as hold little people. Hopefully the sunshine appears soon.
I find the ebb and flow of my life is mirrored in the ebb and flow of my blog. Blogs are like best friends, always there waiting for you when the clutter and mayhem passes 🙂

Grace I completely understand this. It’s not easy doing all we do and then trying to blog. I have only just come back to blogging after a seven month break because it got too hard to juggle and the content and images I wanted to produce just wasn’t possible at the time. I’ve now got things a bit more under control, I have backup posts to help me during hard times and here goes try number two at this blogging thing. It will pass though at the time you are living it it’s very hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. That’s one of my all time favourite affirmations. Every mum needs to keep this one fresh in their mind. Hope you have a good weekend.

Totally know what you mean about a cluttered headspace…there is so much to say but sometimes, not coherently enough and at other times, just no time to actually do it. Not going to ProBlogger this year {can’t afford it!} but waiting to hear what others have learnt.
