It was full occupancy in Chez Mama Grace this week.
All for good reason.
My darling friend, Daisy and her hubs came over for a mini vacay, bringing some much needed smiles, sunshine…and sangrias (yeah, baby!)
And while things are still settling within my family and in my heart, it was nice to take some respite from the heavy emotional burdens. There’s something significant to be said about having a friend around who understands without having to go through the ugly details. Who hugs you before that first tear drops.
Life’s full of free falls. The sudden sensation of dipping into the unknown and the uncertain is scary beyond human expression. It just all depends on how we decide to land…and pick ourselves up.
Good, loyal friends ready to catch the fall certainly helps too.

It’s so nice to hear you were able to break away a little with your friend, Daisy. What would we do without our amazing friends who understand and whom we can gain comfort from without even saying a word.

Friends are so important and so precious aren’t they? It’s such a gift to have friends there to catch you no matter what. And I loved these lines from your post: “Life’s full of free falls. The sudden sensation of dipping into the unknown and the uncertain is scary beyond human expression. It just all depends on how we decide to land…and pick ourselves up.” It’s going into my book of quotes to inspire me me. 🙂
Hugs! xx
