By no means, am I normally a gal of glamour, flair or fancy trends.
But now and again, a Mama needs to feel the wind in her hair and mix things up a little.
Get a little crazy and escape the ordinary suburban life of laundry, cooking and school pickups.
Like grab a friend and drag her along to the cinema see a morning matinee of the latest Vincent Vaughn movie (which was awesome, by the way).
Then, after the movie you convince the same friend that a mani and pedi is in order…STAT.
Get to the nail salon and impulsively decide for once, you’re going to choose funky hot pink rather than the conservative blah dark reds and browns because well, you have a fabulous tanzanite and diamond gold ring that’s shining in all its glory.
And there’s a pair of pretty matching earrings to complete the fabulousness for what is usually a non-eventful Thursday.
To just grab that sunny day in all its glorious rays and roll the top down on your BMW convertible.
Well, your girlfriend’s, anyway. Ahems.
As we hit silly season and find ourselves caught up in the frenzy of end of school year activities, Christmas shopping and mandatory (sometimes painful) family get-togethers, wouldn’t be nice to get through it all with a bit of style and Christmas bling?
Thanks to the lovely people at Bevilles Jewellers, I have a set of the glorious tanzanite and diamond gold earrings and ring (total value $529.98 RRP) to giveaway to one lucky reader.

Update (16/12) Winner of the Christmas Bling Giveaway is Jody at Six Little Hearts! Congratulations, Jody!
We are heading to Melbourne and ‘doing’ the swanky Crown Casino/Hotel. I think these gorgeous items would go perfectly with a cobalt blue number I have for a special night out with friends we haven’t seen for ages 🙂

Ohhhh so pretty ! I would probably wear them everywhere but… the weekend before Christmas I am going to my husbands work Christmas party. This probably doesn’t sound like a big deal except it is the first time in 10 years that my husband has taken me to anything that wasn’t a family barbeque. I wish I could say I was joking. First time! You had better believe I’m going to enjoy every second of getting ready and putting my party shoes on! I’d love some gorgeous Beville’s Bling to really celebrate.

I would actually gift them to my beautiful mum for Christmas. I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving than her.
She is such a wonderful person, always doing for others.
She has welcomed my niece to live with her so she can be closer to her workplace, and she has also welcomed my sister and her two young daughters back home after her marriage went down the gurgler.
She is only a pensioner and so often goes without, just to help others, but she never complains.
I’d love to see her wearing these beautiful Bevilles jewels as we gather round her table for our delicious Christmas feast. Thanks for the opportunity Grace.
Wow! I’d wear them pretty much everywhere!! I’d be scared I’d lose them if I didn’t (and for a bit of the good old ‘in your face!’) But we have a xmas party coming up, and you can dress ‘Gatsby glamour or Festive’ – they pretty much cover both!

They are stunning – Grace you rocked the convertible/bling mama look! As the bulk of the seasonal occasions to come for me are actually for the kids I would attempt to rock the Bunnings craft day tomorrow, carols by candlelight, the kids’ presentation day and family gatherings looking like a convertible/bling mama too! Bunnings would not know what hit it… 😉

I would totally wear this to the Christmas party we host every year. Over 80 people coming. Eeek! I may be exhausted due to preparation for the event, but at least I would look spectacular …
PS I posted the wrong link to my link up today! Captioned it Club Penguin and posted Brain Health! I think I need some of that brain health ….

OOOOOH! Our 15th Wedding Anniversary is 0n January the 2nd. We married in Las Vegas. We haven’t had anything special on this day since our wedding day (seriously) – the 6 kidlets just push all the romance aside.
I can see these beauties changing all that though!
I would wear these out for dinner on our anniversary and leave those kiddies behind – a time to spend together in all my finery!
Lovely comp!

Lucky you Grace! To be honest I’d be more excited about spending a day with my girlfriends baby free (is that wrong to say?). Jewellery is kind of a foreign thing to me now with a new baby.

Every day.
every day is my special do – I am crazy atm working two jobs, my fiance works full time and the kids aren’t in any form of care so it’s all relatives and friends and repaying favours trying to get rid of some debt so life can sometimes be a little glum and I try to see the good in every day – if I had these and I couldn’t see the good, I could most certainly blind myself with the shiny 😉

I think if I waited for a special occasion to wear gorgeous bling, or use the best crockery in the house etc etc I would be waiting a long time, so I think gorgeous things ought to be worn and used everyday – when ever I feel like it 🙂

Oooh, shiny! I do love some good bling. I would wear them out to dinner for my upcoming wedding anniversary, and then probably start sneaking them into my every day life for a bit of dazzle among the frazzle! 🙂
Yes, who needs a special occasion? Would be a good excuse to make Hubby take me somewhere fabulous minus the children, though xx

I would wear them to my early family Christmas gathering under my parents big tree. We’re getting family photos taken and as my parents are getting older and slightly more frail, I am starting to realise that bling should be worn all the time, and not just left for special occasions.
Love these pics gorgeous, I’m off to get my hair cut/coloured this arvo and I CAN’T WAIT! xxx

Been there. Done the BMW convertible thing. It was fun while it lasted but dude dumped me. Perhaps bling would have made the difference?
How lovely… I SO need a drive around Sydney in an open top car. I’d wear this ring to my 50th birthday!! OK so the event happens when we are walking The Bay Of Fires in Tassie… but a bit of bling in the bush can only be a good thing, right?

I would wear them when I go walking for exercise, it would encourage me to do something that I don’t enjoy and I would let myself wear them whenever I wanted to only after I get my cholesterol down (like bribing the kids!!! Lol)
Oooh decisions decisions… would I keep the bling for myself, or would I gift to my gorgeous Mum and Nanna – who would be happy to share 🙂

My work Christmas party so I can show off my new winnings!
I would wear them everywhere, at any time. My mum taught me that to keep for ‘good’ never lets you truly enjoy beautiful things. I had a friend that kept all her things for ‘good’. Consequently she had a lot of worn once jewellery (some NEVER used) and other items, that a robber who broke into her home decided were for his ‘good’. When she got the insurance money back she did buy some new pieces and learnt from her mistake – wearing and using the the things for her own pleasure .

Arriving to the blog party late but oh my a jewellery giveaway. I say better that than not at all!
Now in answer to your question:
Who needs an occasion to wear fine jewellery? Not me! If you insist though, I’m thinking the night hubby arrives home from weeks at sea would be the perfect occasion, the jewellery matches my birthday suit perfectly. Of course my normal blogging ‘photos or it didn’t happen’ policy does not apply here.

My daughter’s coming home after two years overseas and we’re HAVING A PARTY! There’ll be two dazzling stars in the room with her AND the Beville’s bling!
Everyday is an occasion. Too often we leave our most beautiful things stored away for ‘special’ moments. Every moment is special and to be celebrated. Bring on the bling!

Our fortieth wedding anniversary. My husband is a teacher, when school kids hear how long he’s been married they ask,”To the same woman”? It’s been a wonderful adventure, definitely worth celebrating with style!
Oh, what very gorgeous pieces and what an amazingly generous giveaway!
I would wear this absolutely stunning ring to my upcoming Masters degree graduation… it’s been a hard, hard road to get through but I made it – a Bachelors Degree, Honours degree and Masters… six years straight! My mum promised me a ring for my Honours graduation but hasn’t yet been in the financial situation to do so yet… I know she feels terrible about it and keeps promising me she will buy one as soon as she can, even though I’ve told her I don’t mind and would rather she save her money! This would be such an amazing gift, and as I don’t have pierced ears I could give her the earrings to wear so that she can wear them and be with me in spirit as my degree is conferred! Spoiling my gorgeous mum who is always so selfless and freeing her from her promise to buy me a ring would be gift enough for me, but having that gorgeous ring to remind me of my perseverance and its worth every time I am going through a hard time would be an absolute dream 🙂
Thanks for the chance, fingers crossed and have a very Merry Christmas!
New Year’s Eve. I like to look my best to start the New Year feeling great.
Absolutely stoked Grace! I cannot thank you enough! It’s been a hard year of illness this year and this has made me feel so good! Merry Christmas! I have forwarded by email my address details 😀
