Happy Sunday, FBLS’ers!
Did you know that it’s exactly 2 weeks till Mother’s Day?
And no matter how big or how small our celebrations are, it’s all about acknowledgement.
The one day when we’re reminded that among all the jobs in the world, ours is irreplaceable.
We are indespensible.
But to do things right, we need the proper tools. The resources that are going to get us by.
Logitech kindly sent a pair of their awesome Ultimate Ears 4000 Headphones to review and all I can say is this:
These babies are my new thang.
I use them at the coffee shop, tapping away writing up a post and want to cancel out the external noise and just concentrate.
I’m a proud 80’s tragic and no one needs to know about it!
I have a fear of frying my brain when using the mobile phone. Being super light and comfortable, these headphones have been fabulous to pop on for those extra long conversations.
To thank my awesome FBLS’ers for their fantastic support since this linky started 9 months ago, I’m giving away a Logitech washable keyboard (valued at $59.95).
From a light dusting to a deep soak in up to 30 cms of water, this washable keyboard is easy to clean and quick to dry.
It’s perfect for a home that’s full of little grubby hands and prone to lots of nasty drink spills.
To win this awesome keyboard, all you have to do is:
- Subscribe to With Some Grace by Email
- Leave a comment on this post, tell me: What music do you love listening to on headphones and why?
Terms and conditions:
- This giveaway is only open to Australian residents
- Closing date for entries is Sunday, 5th of May.
- The winner will be contacted via email on the following Monday.
- If the winner does not reply to my email within 24 hours, another winner will be chosen.
- Entries will be judged on merit and decision of the winner will be final.
Don’t forget the important stuff:
1. Copy and paste your Facebook Blog Page URL and link it up below
2. If you can, please “Like” a fellow blogger’s page through your personal account. (For some bizzaro reason, the number of Likes on a fan page is only tallied from personal accounts).
3. For the love of bloggy karma, don’t link and dash! Reciprocate the Facebook Like love, ‘k?
* Not a deal breaker but how about giving a shout out to a new page you found ? Doesn’t cost much. Give tenfold, get hundred back, I say.
P.S To try and get as many bloggers joining in, please share or retweet this post! The more pages there are here to “Like”, the more love there is to share!
love the pic Grace! Those headphones look swanky on you 😉

I am simply happy to find a moment to put some headphones on. Generally I like to listen to something fairely chilled to make the most of my little time out. My favourite head phones moment, as cliche as it sounds, was being on tour in Scotland and driving through the Highlands listening to the soundtrack of Braveheart…. funny hey? But there was totally a movie going on in my head 😛
I have one rule Grace. I need to know all the words to the song. Then I disappear into some secret world in my head where Im a superstar and I sing to my hearts content. Needless to say the headphone wearing happens in my garage where I work. Alone.
Love the shot x

I love listening to any music that is loud, up-beat, has a great tune and something I can sing along to!!! My favorite song at the moment is “Small Bump”. Its so sweet yet at the same time it really gets you thinking.
Also really like the Titanic Theme song.

I’ll be ‘rocking’ out to my favourite musicals. People may prefer I didn’t have the headphones on – I tend to sing along whether they can hear the music or not!
Thanks for hosting the giveaway, and for hosting FBLS! Looking forward to discovering yet more pages.

Wired for sound Grace, I love it! Great idea – and stylish to boot 🙂

Ooh, forgot about a competition entry… So, my favourite music to listen to on headphones is all the music I can’t listen to when I have the kids with me. I’ve recently had to explain far too many questionable lyrics to my increasingly literate and aware 6 year old! So, naughty hip hop or raunchy ballads are all mine at headphone time 🙂

On the headphones it has to be Pit Bull. Can’t get enough of him and anyone he teams with. Just makes my butt wiggle.
Oh and a shout out to YogaBugs who I discovered today for the first time 🙂
Happy Sunday!

Love the look of those headphones! To be honest, I don’t listen to enough music anymore but I’m thinking if I won them I would make up an exercise playlist and wear them at the gym so I can’t hear the god-awful music they seem to always play there! xxx
Cute pic of you Grace, those headphones suit you, kimx

I definitely hope you meant the closing date to be 5th of May! You rock those headphones babe! I love listening to all the songs from the musical Phantom of the Opera, my all time favourite love story with such amazing tracks – also like to imagine myself as the lovely Christine although I’ve been told time and time again by my choir coach that soprano isn’t really my thing – I’d like to prove them wrong!

Ooops! Yes! Closing date is the 5th! I was distracted with twinlets bugging me to put on a Thomas DVD this morning as I was typing up the post! 🙂
Great looking headphones! I’ve recently purchased a pair of cans and I was quite shy about wearing them in the street. Before child I lived with my own personal soundtrack blaring through my iPod. Something happened after Ned was born and I can’t handle music up nearly as loudly and I find it off putting to walk around the streets with headphones on. Weird.
When I do get the chance to have my music on I’m an indie rock lover. Cold War Kids, The Shins, Jose Gonzalez, Jack White have been in high rotation lately. My guilty pleasure though is George Michael. I still love him. The Listen Without Prejudice album is my favourite. Heal the Pain. Full bore on the cans singing my lungs out!
Great giveaway, Grace!

I’m completely paranoid about frying my brain too Grace. A cool pair of headphones would fix that! The keyboard looks great too. Great giveaway!

I forgot to tell you what music I listen to on my headphones. Well it’s no secret I love the purple one, Prince. Oh yes indeed! I love listening to Morning Papers full ball or maybe even a little bit of Little Red Corvette to get the blood pumping. Well I was a teenager in the 80’s 🙂

Hi! My spouse Rachel and I are Americans and we started a blog about 7 months ago covering all things ichthyosis, a rare skin disorder that affects people worldwide. My friend from RadioCarly suggested that we join the club here because our topic affects people worldwide.
A lot of our material covers how rare diseases are perceived and covered in the media. We did a whole series of guest posts by people affected by harlequin ichthyosis, one of those shock photos that shows up all the time on sites like Reddit and 4Chan. Speaking of Reddit, on 15/4/13, we did an Ask Me Anything over there with another friend in Oz, Kyriaki. We also have a lot of parenting and dealing with non-typical children issues like navigating schools and people staring at them.
The link goes to our most recent post, but one that I really think affects all of us is the one we did on people that post “lemons cure cancer!” meme craziness on Facebook:

I’ve been reading several of your blogs already, and I’m looking forward to meeting more of you!

I never get a chance to listen to music on headphones any more, in fact I hardly get a chance to listen to music at all unless I’m at work. I must remedy this!
Those washable keyboards look pretty cool but it would be my grubby fingers I’d be cleaning up after, I always seem to get crap on my keyboard!
