Still high from the excitement of the Christmas party and the fact that we were having a sleepover at their best friend’s place, the twinions were still up way past their bed time.
Stories, they pleaded, And stories I read.
Just as their sleepy lids were slowly closing, loud bangs and booms could be heard outside.
Throwing all maternal duties and routine out the window, I didn’t think twice about waking up the boys.
“Quick, boys! Fireworks! Fireworks outside!”
Scrambling to the window, it was like Christmas came early.
As they “oohed and aahed” at the sparkling lights and the pretty colours, I could hear one of the boys say, “The fireworks are especially for us”
And I guess that night, it felt as though they were.
When something that beautiful, randomly appears at your window, why wouldn’t you think it’s for nobody else except for you and those immediately around you?
In the lead up to Christmas and the busyness in its preparation, I hope you still manage to do something just for you.
Even it’s a quiet cup of coffee at your favourite cafe or a long soak in the bath with candlelights and a glass of red, do it. It’s important.
Enjoy the week, guys!
Don’t forget the important FBLS stuff:
1. Copy and paste your Facebook Blog Page URL and link it up below
2. If you can, please “Like” a fellow blogger’s page through your personal account. (For some bizzaro reason, the number of Likes on a fan page is only tallied from personal accounts).
3. For the love of bloggy karma, don’t link and dash! Reciprocate the Facebook Like love, ‘k?
* Not a deal breaker but how about giving a shout out to a new page you found ? Doesn’t cost much. Give tenfold, get hundred back, I say.
P.S To try and get as many bloggers joining in, please share or retweet this post! The more pages there are here to “Like”, the more love there is to share
Awesome fireworks photo’s Grace! I’m sure they were indeed especially for you and the boys. Merry Christmas to you and your family. xo

How awesome are fireworks. I remember when we were in Anaheim, staying across the road from Disneyland and I woke up at 1 in the morning to a booming sound. Dave an I walked out to our balcony and they were testing their fireworks display for the 4th of July. So not only did we get the usual closing fireworks that night, but what felt like our own private encore at 1 in the morning. Probably the best fireworks I’ve ever seen.

I love seeing fireworks too. It’s special watching them together as a family and I love seeing the wonder on my daughter’s face when she sees them in the sky. It’s nearly as magical as Christmas. Blessings for hosting FBLS Grace. 🙂
