How did you survive the recent heat wave?
Nothing worse than having an airconditioner blasting at full capacity, only to have it telling you that room temperature is still at a sweltering 31C degrees.
You’d think a chick who was born in the tropics – almost smack bang on the Equator – could handle the intense Australian summer. But nope. I am a fully fledged wuss.
I’d much prefer the blistering cold Siberian winds and a mountain covered with snow any day.
Yeah, I’m weird like that.

That is a bit weird, Grace! Personally I’m loving this summer. Winter was riddled with illness, this summer has been our most sociable ever 🙂

You know, I forgot all about the colds in the winter and the idea of being more sociable in the summer 🙂
My poor little possum outside in the aviary isn’t coping very well either. At least I’m able to take out drinks for her regularly, but it’s still hard to watch 🙁

I’m weird like that too Grace. I live in Brisbane, Queensland and I HATE the heat. I have a house with ducted aircon and a pool – only way I can cope! I think I was meant to be a Tasmanian or something!

hey Grace, I just found you through Cate {life behind the purple door} 🙂 Love the FB love idea! I’m in the southern US so it’s cold and I do NOT like the cold at all. I much prefer the heat and humidity of our Southern summers.

And in response to your post… I am kinda glad there are seasons. I LOVE the heat, but then I do love the cold too… Spring is delicious and Autumn is my birthday season. I love it all!

We’re just lucky to have ducted AC and a pool, so can escape the heat, which we do!
And I do enjoy some nice cold weather at times, is always easier to add layers to keep warm, and sometimes it’s impossible to cool down!

I still have nightmares about playing tennis in 35C heat when a teenager – so I do my best to stay cool in air con on the hottest days!
