Forget “Wolverine” or even “Fast And Furious 6”
The movie that’s going to leave you on the edge of your seat with suspense and drama is “King of the Railway”
Yes, that’s right folks. Thomas and his locomotive buddies are back on the big screen. And in a clever marketing plot to keep parents in the shops buying MORE toy trains, new friends are in the movie too.
There’s Caitlin, Connor and Stephen “The Rocket” who’s a very old steamy but shows he’s still as useful.
I won’t give away too much but to say, all those engines are still working hard to being very useful (Labour exploitation, I say). Fat Controller is still fat and annoyingly bossy yet lazy. Percy still has a big crush on Thomas.
But.
I did get a peaceful hour in a big dark room where I’m not chasing little boys or yelling at them to “Stop” or “Slow Down”.
Thomas. A big bucket of popcorn. And we’re all happy.
“King of the Railway” is screening at most Hoyts cinemas, usually for only a 10am session.
It’s part of a list of Hoyts Jnr movies that are now being scheduled for the little ones.
Tickets are $7 for kids and $10 for the adults.
Not a bad price to pay to get some sanity.
***This is not a sponsored post. I’m just all about dark rooms and some peace and quiet. I thought you might be too. You’re welcome***
Don’t forget the important FBLS stuff:
1. Copy and paste your Facebook Blog Page URL and link it up below
2. If you can, please “Like” a fellow blogger’s page through your personal account. (For some bizzaro reason, the number of Likes on a fan page is only tallied from personal accounts).
3. For the love of bloggy karma, don’t link and dash! Reciprocate the Facebook Like love, ‘k?
* Not a deal breaker but how about giving a shout out to a new page you found ? Doesn’t cost much. Give tenfold, get hundred back, I say.
P.S To try and get as many bloggers joining in, please share or retweet this post! The more pages there are here to “Like”, the more love there is to share!
he just doesn’t look right. its just not the same as it was … what 20years ago? how old is Thomas now??

Thanks for the review! I have been thinking of taking little Miss Money but now I definitely will after you said there is a Caitlin in it as that is her name! 🙂 Not to mention the idea of peace and quiet!

They look really weird compared to the tv show I remember as a child. I kind of like the fact that the things I loved as a child are still popular.

I love how they have updated Thomas by giving the new engines trendy names like Caitlin and Connor.
I’m with you, as a Mum there are worse ways to spend your time than sitting in the dark sipping a cappucino whilst your kids are totally pre-occupied.

You know even for a dark room and some quiet I couldn’t bing myself to see that. My loathing for Thomas is just that bad!

I took my eldest to see Cinderella yesterday, she has gone completely obsessed with Disney Princesses, so loved seeing it on the big screen! We only paid $7 for Adults, I think the Hoyts you went to were a little sneaky at charging you Grace! Don’t worry I’m sure ours overcharged on the drink & popcorn…didn’t stop us having a great morning. I hope the boys enjoyed Thomas 🙂

I think I paid $10 ticket that had extra popcorn…doh! The boys loved it so much, we saw it twice!
Oh and Julie, I think you’ve linked up your blog url rather than your Facebook page one. 😉
I cannot wait to do this when my boys are a little older. Isn’t the fat controller now the thin controller?? I saw a few episodes recently on the TV and was shocked! xx

I had no idea Thomas had hit the big screen, thanks for the tip Grace, just what we need for a cold wet week in Melbourne.
