For the past month or so, I’ve had a dilemma. A hot beverage one.
Since giving up coffee over a year ago, I hadn’t really found a sustainable replacement.
I thought Soy Chai Lattes were my saving grace. Alas, with all the different varieties that each coffee shop offers as well as the continuing debate about the possible detrimental effects of soy milk.
So, I’ve been on the hunt for good quality herbal tea alternatives as I found that unless it was in loose leaf form, tea bags just weren’t cutting it for me.
Along side this extensive search has been my dissatisfaction in healthier snack options. I will easily head for a pack of chips in the pantry to satisfy the 3 o’clock hunger pangs.
At the Kids Business Bloggers Brunch earlier this month, I came across Higher Living Tea and Wellaby’s crackers and snack foods.
My hunt was over.
Organic, 100% natural and caffeine free, the Higher Living Tea rich flavours have done all sorts of wonders for my insides. Literally.
I religiously have the “Evening” infusion before bed and first thing in the morning, bowel movements are *ahems* moving like clockwork. Sorry, too much information?
There’s the “Vitality” flavour that I have in the morning for some get up and go and “Cinnamon” that has converted Mr Surfer to herbal teas.
Wellaby’s Classic Cheese crackers have been a great accompaniment with the Higher Living Tea. And because these delicious snacks are baked (not fried) as well as gluten, wheat and nuts free they’re perfect for our nuts free zone household.
To kick things off this week, I’m offering a Higher Living Tea and Wellaby’s giveaway!

“Ginger kick” appeals most to me as I Love ginger and I need a good kick to get started in the morning. Also all the crackers sound ‘scrubdiddlyishious’! Its sometimes difficult to find variety when your gluten free.

The Feta, Oregano and Olive Oil crackers sound divine!
I’d love to share these with my hubby, they sound like a lovely snack for grown-ups. With three young daughters, we usually buy snacks to their tastes so this would be a really welcome treat for hubby and I! Thank you for the opportunity

I’m already a convert to Evening, and I can’t go to bed without having a cup of it first! (Though for afternoon tea I’m quite fond of Ginger Kick, but that’s hard for me to find at my local haunts??). This range sums up Tranquili-tea, hospitali-tea and for me, unsubtl-tea (apparently)…

I’m a sucker for (too many) crisps, so something that’s healthy in that line really interests me!… Cracked Black Pepper Lentil Chips OR Kalamata Olive Hummus Chips! 🙂

At the moment my favourite tea flavours are anything cinnamon or with a hint of liqourice root – although they all look divine.

I love tea too and have mine with soy milk. I have done so much research… there’s absolutely no doubt whatsoever that animal milk IS bad for you, just see Harvard’s newest studies or PCRM’s. Soy milk is just the same as any processed stuff where the goodness is added in, mind you this is exactly the same as cow’s milk. Cow’s milk is so heavily processed that they also add the goodies in afterwards because they’re all lost in the process. Though you still can’t absorb the calcium from cow’s milk. Read the China Study.
Haha… I’m ranting! Sorry about that! I’m passionate I guess! 😀
Hope you’re having an awesome day! Loved your facebook party yesterday!
Thank you!

I am a big coffee drinker – LOVE my morning and afternoon Cup of coffee. Only drinking good quality 2 cups a day, and have tea the rest of the time.
I love my herbal teas – Evening and Vitality Higher Living Teas would be ideal for my bowels!
Parmesan and Sun Dried tomato Crackers sounds delicious. Sun Dried Tomato and Parmesan Cheese is my all time favorite treats – to have them together would be like a slice of heaven on earth 🙂

I love the sound of the cracked black pepper chips, I love pepper and I think it would taste fantastic just with a bit of butter on top, nice and simple and delicious!

Although I can’t be part of your give away, might I say, the search for the perfect cuppa tea is far more educational than coffee, wine or dare I say…beer. Lovely post – see you at three.

Yum!! The thought of the Parmesan crackers makes me drool. With the teas, and I’m a massive tea jenny, as we say in Scotland, I am conflicted, the Evening or the Cinnamon… hmmm… The latter probably wins. ALL sound good.
Janet says
It sounds like I need the Evening infusion too LOL. And the Cheese Ups sound like they would really hit the spot …

Grace I have to be totally honest here and tell you that every single one of those snacks is making me salivate profusely! It could possibly be because I haven’t been able to have any decent yummy snacks for going on a month now due to the gestational diabetes but lets erected its not. Those last ones, the Parmesan crackers, they found divine. And I love herbal teas although I am having to be a bit more careful at the moment as some are not safe for pregnancy but I love them and can’t wait to make e most of the teas my sister bought me for Christmas and these would make an excellent addition to my stockpile! Me if only there was some raspberry leaf tea it would be complete! 😉

We have made the switch this year to cutting out additives and eating more clean in our home of 6, so I am always hunting for some new and fabulous products. I would love to try the evening tea as that is my most favourite way to relax at the end of the day! I would also love to try the cheese crackers for my children as we are yet to find a nice cheese cracker alternative to the Shapes from our old way of eating days!
Karly says
The classic cheese crackers as they would best suit all the delicious cheeses I love. (I’ve replaced Friday night dinner with cheese and crackers the past few weeks!)
I like you on FB and subscribe by email.
Thanks

Ginger Kick for me. I quite often finely slice fresh ginger and cover with boiling water , and leave for 5 min when my stomach is feeling “queasy”. A tea bag is more convenient
Benjamin Travia says
There’s nothing quite like cinnamon tea. It combines the beauty of tea; relaxing, smooth, sophisticated with the pure inimitable, exotic and enlivening thrill of cinnamon.

I can’t believe I’ve only just recently found how amazing tea is. I’ve always been an avid no coffee or tea person, however unlike coffee which I don’t drink because I don’t like the taste & my body doesn’t react well to caffeine, I’d never really actually given tea a go. I’ve literally only started drinking tea the past 2 weeks, and my pantry is already full with so many different flavours, but my favourite so far is the Evening flavour from Higher Living which I found at Coles. I’m disappointed they didn’t stock anymore flavours because after doing my research to see how many more are available I just want to try them all.
I really want to try the Vitality, anything thing to give me that extra ‘oomph’ in my day since I can’t have a coffee like everyone else, but I’d also like to try the Very Berry, just because it looks like it’d be delicious (and the pretty packaging catches my eye)

Howdy, There’s no doubt that your web site may be having web browser compatibility problems.
Whenever I look at your blog in Safari, it looks fine but when opening in IE, it’s got some
overlapping issues. I just wanted to provide you with
a quick heads up! Aside from that, excellent site!
