A child of the 70’s, I would wait all week anticipating the next episode of “The Love Boat”
What? You never watched it? Are you for real? Or were you not even an embryo yet?
For those in the ahem higher age group bracket will remember the loud, gaudy fashion, terrible acting and the daggy, yet loveable cast.
Who didn’t want to have a cocktail with Isaac the bartender? Captain Stubing was so stoic and sexy. And Julie the Cruise Director’s haircut! I wanted it so bad!
Of course the over the top, complete fantasty, highly improbable love stories that I loved most. Pure, utter trashy escapist entertainment.
Heading for my own getaway, I’ll be boarding the #DPCON14 Love Boat today.
No need for the salacious love affairs, already got one of my own back at home
(Hi, Mr Surfer! Love you, love you! Mwah, mwah!)
But it will be imperative to have lots of awesome bloggy buddy catch ups and having naughty cocktails whilst admiring the majestic view of endless sea. (Not necessarily in that order.
Who knows. I may return with some juicy stories. As they say, “Stranger things happen at sea”
Dum dee dee dum!
