It’s the one device that can either make or break a household.
We let men use it, letting t them blindly think it stamps their authority.
Without it, children are known to set loose in a tirade of screams and demands.
God forbid the batteries going flat.
Bloody remote control.
And for this very reason, it astounds me that an unnamed yet famous fruity technology company decided to create one that can be easily swallowed up in any typical, messy family home.
It was inevitable we lost our little silver bullet. For almost a week we searched high and low, completely bewildered that it could even disappear within the small constraints of our littered lounge room.
All I ever heard was the whiney voices of the twinlets constantly asking, “Where’s the ‘mote, Mama???! Where’s the ‘moooooote???!!!!”
Eventually finding it in a box of toys we were due to throw out, we decided to take drastic measures.
Remote on a (chop) stick, anyone???
Laugh if you must but it’s worked like a charm!
What little innovative inventions do you have in your household?
Don’t forget the important FBLS stuff:
1. Copy and paste your Facebook Blog Page URL and link it up below
2. If you can, please “Like” a fellow blogger’s page through your personal account. (For some bizzaro reason, the number of Likes on a fan page is only tallied from personal accounts).
3. For the love of bloggy karma, don’t link and dash! Reciprocate the Facebook Like love, ‘k?
* Not a deal breaker but how about giving a shout out to a new page you found ? Doesn’t cost much. Give tenfold, get hundred back, I say.
P.S To try and get as many bloggers joining in, please share or retweet this post! The more pages there are here to “Like”, the more love there is to share!

I will have to do the same thing to my credit card which recently went AWOL from my desk. It was found in the draw of P2s old nappy change table.
Hope you guys are having a wonderful weekend.

We have a universal remote – did you know it takes 5 remotes to replace it. I didn’t until it went AWOL 🙂

We lost the remote to our DVD player with surround sound years ago – we suspect a then baby that will remain nameless (okay, we think it was Delilah!) put it into the bin and it was then lost forever. I like to remind the kids that getting up to push buttons was what it was like when I was a girl (because I am so old and remember what it was like before remote controls!!!)

I wonder if that would work for keys and wallets too??

Love it! I have fashioned block out curtains with a blanket and hair clips for my bedroom because my neighbours never turn off their back light.

Haha! love it! They need to invent a remote that you can ring – like when you lose your phone.
Cheers Leanne.

We have lost our DVD remote so many times but it usually surfaces, however, on this occasion we haven’t seen it in MONTHS – like at least 6 – I think it’s been accidentally chucked 🙁 x

Thanks for hosting FBLS Grace – each time I am amazed to find some new blogs on FB to love!
I’m hopeless with my reading glasses – have 3 pairs and am ALWAYS losing them. I probably should put them on a chain on my neck but that would make me feel OLD!

Hubby has been away on business all week, arrived home and headed straight for the TV last night to watch some super important game. I not only wanted to hide the remotes but cause a power outage.

I’ve had one of my twins run off with my credit card – now that was a pain to find!! My twins are becoming too smart, they’re only 17 months but they’ve watch for our mobile phones and the TV remote controls to be put down and then they take them and run off. Took me 2 days to find the TV remote control last time and a week to find the DVD remote, changing channels by pushing buttons on the TV is such a pain!!!! lol

I had a massive toy box for many years. At the end of each day all the toys would be piled into it (probably the remote went in on some occasions along with my car keys). I wish I could do the same now with all the junk they leave around the house! I added my link and liked another. This is the first time I’ve done it so I hope it’s all okay. I’m going to have a look at all those blogs now!

You are a GENIUS! That stupid little silver remote is the dumbest teeny weeny invention ever. Smaller is not always better. APPLEHEADS!
