I kindly accepted an impromptu invitation from my neighbour to go along to the annual Poet’s Picnic held at the gardens of our local library.

A gathering of literary geeks, there were poetry readings

In the twilight

Accompanied by a lovely feast

And entertained by a cheery hula hoopin’ mermaid
