Well, well, will you look at that? I finally got my shizz together to spread some Sunshine!
A big thank you to Kelly over at Handmade Tears and Triumphs who kindly nominated me for the Award. There is one other blogger out there who also nominated me but for the life of me, I can’t remember. Shocking, I know! If it’s you, please let me know and I’ll update this post and include your link!
Anywho…recipients of the award are:
“Bloggers who positively and creatively inspire others in the blogosphere”
But of course, first I need to answer the questions! So here it goes!!!
1. Favourite time of the year
I do love early Autumn. I never sleep with as much content and comfort as that first crisp morning when you know summer’s gone and autumn’s settled in.
And the leaves always look so magical and golden.
Yeah, I’m a sappy old lady.
2. Favourite festive movie
So inappropriate but “Four Holidays” with Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon always gets a spin in the DVD player for some yuletide viewing.
Non PC humour, fights, break ups, baby projectile vomit…what’s not to love?
3. What is your passion?
Multi-culturalism.
I would love to see Australia as a completely harmonious, multi-ethnic society. Might not happen in my life time but I’m happy to keep banging on about it until my very last breath.
4. Favourite colour
The deep maroon that was used in the batik of my wedding dress.
5. Favourite time of the day
The crack of dawn when the sky is a pretty pink and I get to sweat it out at the gym for an hour. Great way to turn on your brain cells on and amp up the happy hormones.
6. Favourite flower
Singapore orchids.
7. Favourite non-alcoholic beverage
T2’s Creamy Choc Chai, or Choc Chip Chai (try saying either really fast 10 times!) with a generous dallop of honey and a dash of soy milk. Geez, I am old.
8. Favourite physical activity
Snowboarding. Gimme some powder heaven, any day! But alas there isn’t a smidgeon of snow around here so I make do with running.
9. Favourite vacation
Bali, Indonesia. It’s where we got engaged and where we took the twinlets for their first overseas holiday. Most importantly, it’s where I feel most at home.
10. What piece of advice would you give a 20 year old you?
Don’t worry so much about when you’re going to get married and have a family. Trust me, you’ll be kissing a LOT of frogs before you get to that stage. A LOT! And yes, your mother will always be that annoying. That ain’t ever gonna change, girl. Deal with it.
Alrighty! Now time to select 10 of my favourite bloggers, link to their blogs and let them know they’ve been given awarded with some Sunshine!
Choosing was tough and this is in no special order as you’re all fabulous!
(Oh, and you’ve already received the Sunshine Award and don’t want to do it again…totes understand!)
1. Bridget from Twinisms
2. Nami from Namzola Goodness
3. Ava from Grapes and Oranges
4. Veronica from Mixed Gems
5. Em from You Learn Something New Every Day
6. Ai from Sakura Haruka
7. Jane from Adventures of Java Jane
8. Victoria at Declutterbug versus Captain Stingypants
9. Francesca from Francesca Writes Here
10. Jacana
If you’re not familiar with any of these guys…get crackin’!
They’re awesomesauce!

Thanks also for the nomination – for such a popular blogger as yourself to be nominating me, it feels pretty special 🙂
I was the other blogger who nominated you, by the way. Nominating each other, I’ll call that a circle of sunshine! https://francescawriteshere.blogspot.com.au/2013/01/my-sunshine-award.html

My fav physical activity is snow related too although I am a skiier rather than snowboarding, I tried snowboarding once and got terrible whiplash – didn’t try it again!!

LOVE getting to know more about you – and wouldn’t have picked you for a snowboarder – the things we learn!
BTW – did you like Question No.10 – when I give the award there wasn’t a No. 10 – which I thought a tad strange so when I did my answer, I added that one – sneaky sneaky right 🙂 Em
