The ever-charming Catherine over at A Cup of Tea and a Blog, nominated me for the Kreativ Blogger Award *gush*.
To humbly accept this highly regarded, prestigious award of the blogosphere, I was asked to answer the following questions.
Check it…
What is my favourite song ?
My eclectic taste in music ranges from Stevie Wonder to Guns ‘N Roses over to Burt Bacharach.
But for the sake of keeping beautiful memories alive and kicking on this blog, I would say, my favourite all time song is “The Rainbow Connection”
Yup. The Frog Song.
My father, who has a voice more golden than Sinatra’s, sang it at my wedding, with my brother-in-law accompanying him on guitar.
Love.
My favourite dessert
I actually don’t have one in particular. But put a crème brulee (or three) in front of me and I will devour…Nom, nom.
What ticks me off ?
Arrogant, rude, teenage, punk P-Platers!!! I’ve been known to lose my brain when they cut in front of me. I give them an extra long, intimidating honk.
When I’m upset, what do I do ?
I go for a jog as soon as I can. Never fails to lift the spirits again. It’s all those natural happy chemicals called endorphins.
My favourite pet ?
I had 2. Our late family dog, Samson. And the stray cat that I took into my home when living in Japan, Teila.
RIP, my furry friends. Thanks for all the good times.
What do I prefer, black or white ?
Tough. I’m a bit of both. A lot of white in the summer and just as much black in the winter. Too predictable ?
What is my biggest fear ?
Having regrets. I like to think I live life to its fullest. So far, so true.
What is my attitude ?
Predominately chirpy with a generous scoop of easy-going. Just not around P-Platers…
What is perfection ?
A beautiful sunrise. Yes, it’s that simple.
What is my guilty pleasure ?
Scoffing a bag of salt and vinegar chips while reading trashy gossip magazines. Don’t judge, ‘k ?
10 Random facts about me ?
1. I was at an Italian restaurant once where a certain Samuel L Jackson was dining at the table behind us. As a dare, I went over to his table and asked for his autograph. With those scary, piercing, angry eyes, he looked straight at me and said, “Did you have to ask me during my meal?”
Eeeks !
Still got the autograph.
2. I am an 80’s tragic. Yes, that was my real hair.
3. I acquired my Advanced PADI (Scuba Diver’s) License over in the beautiful tropics of the Philippines. I discovered that peeing in your wetsuit is an odd sensation.
4. I’ve spent a Christmas climbing the Great Wall of China. That’s the first time my tata’s really froze.
5. I’m an avid snowboarder.
6. Subsequent to the above mentioned point 5, several years ago, I was concussed during a company skiing trip. Consequently, I was sent to the nearest hospital and missed the flight home that night.
7. For my 30th, I climbed Mt. Fuji…hungover. I don’t remember how I actually made it, but the view was spectacular. So, was the headache.
8. I’ve lived a total of 7 and a half years in Japan. Hence, I know a lot of cheesy Japanese love songs and developed an addiction to karaoke. Again, don’t judge me.
9. My piano is one of my most prized possessions. I wish I had more time to play.
10.Besides English, I speak fluent Japanese, Bahasa Indonesia and a funky northern Japanese dialect. I guess that just makes me a “multi-lingual chatterbox”
And now, announcing my nominations…

Well no surprise that you are an all round A-star kind of gal but I am stuck on the fact that you had the guts to front up to Samuel L.J at dinner time and ask the man for an autograph. Are you nuts!
You’re lucky he didn’t start slapping down some Ezekiel. Sheesh Grace – be careful out there 🙂
