Happy Friday, Floggers!
This week’s FYBF is brought to you by a whole bunch of random.
Sometimes life can just full of randoms, yes? Or was it just this week in particular?
For Eddie McGuire, it just took days for him from being Collingwood’s highly respected president to almost having to step down for his own racial slur.
“Lock it in, Eddie” suddenly has a whole new different meaning.
My week started off with losing toe nails. While this now puts me in the category as a “real runner”, my feet won’t be pampered with pedicures in any near future. Bummer dat.
A 4 and a half hour train ride to Canberra, I discovered, was an opportune time to clear out 1,200 spam comments.
Contrary to popular belief, oysters aren’t an aphrodisiac. Good thing I like to eat them, anyway. And even if they were, I’m too tired these days to perform any kind of jiggy-jig. I’d need a strong shot of Red Bull along with the dozen of Oysters Kilkpatrick.
Lastly, a long, tedious train ride is worth every minute to see a dear friend who’s ending a chapter in Australia to return to her home country.
It’s not a “Good bye”, Lynnie Lou. It’s a “We’ll see you in Canada!”
What randoms have you had this week? Do you think oysters are aphrodisiacs?
1. Follow With Some Grace.
2. Sign up to the awesome Digital Parents community ( if you haven’t already done so). DP was created by Brenda Gaddi who happens to be the creator of FYBF. She’s also created 4 gorgeous kidlets. In case you’d like to know. Or maybe not. But we’ll share that info just the same.
3. Add your post URL to the linky. Please only link up one post.
4. Grab the funky FYBF button and post it on your sidebar. Help spread the blogfloggin love.
5. Visit the blogs of your fellow FYBF’ers and share the comment love.
6. Share some more comment love. It’s proven to make your wrinkles disappear…overnight. #truth

My husband still believes in the power of the oyster and feeds them to me anytime he can. I have found no hard evidence that they are magical and sexy. Nor is Horny Goat Weed for that matter. Yes, he’s tried that on me too. He is also a fan of pouring me a red bull of a Saturday night to ensure I stay awake long enough to spend time with him. Makes me seem like a lazy wife … I’m not … really I’m not. Just plain tired all the time.
How was Canberra? Did we make it cold enough for you?

What can you say about Eddie? Seriously, as an adult and the president of the club who was shamed, wouldn’t you steer well clear of making any sort of joke (or ‘slip of the tongue’ – he needs to understand what that means? What a fool. Summed up best by a tweet yesterday “Even with his foot in his mouth Eddie Maguire won’t shut up”

Oh Grace… that sounds like quite a week. Eddie = idiot, toenails = hero status, span = I’m too terrified to open mine, and oysters = well, to me they are giant boogers of the sea, but I agree, a can of redbull would probably do the trick. Also as for good byes, I think I’ve tried them all, the heaving sobbing to the “ok seeya”, I hate that kind of goodbye that doesn’t have a clear end date. My week was one where I worked on a (paid! yay!) project in the office and my husband was a SAHD. Interesting experiment, not sure if its sustainable. But we are all still alive and the house didn’t burn down! Have a great weekend Grace and twinlets!

Never tried oysters as an aphrodesiac to be honest! But would take more than one red bull to give me enough energy these days 😉

I do not believe in the power of oysters because both hubby and I would be ill if we ate them. My aphrodisiac is a bottle wine, a yummy meal, no kids and an early night!

I can’t follow you on Facebook as I deleted FB completely last Oct. The Twitter link doesn’t work and when I looked for Mama Grace on Twitter it didn’t look active. I do follow Digital Parents and am a member however 🙂

I’ve never been an oyster fan so I really can’t say. The texture has always put me off. Although now that I’ve tried snails I really should give oysters another go. This week has seen me at two doctors appointments and with a sick little bubs again, ear and cheat infection this time! I swear child care isn’t just coating me a fortune in fees! So we are both at home today and I have to find some way to get some work done but I’m contplating just waiting till she’s in bed and working then. At least it’s easy stuff I have to do whih can be done in front of the TV!

I’m astonished by the whole ‘race’ issue thats being played out, it amazes me that some people just dont see it as a racism and the number of people that are apologising and making excuses on behalf of those people that have said these things. And on a lighter note hanks for always being the hostess with the mostess

My mother-in-law moans and groans when she eats oysters (think “When Harry Met Sally”) and my husband finds it endearing. I still enjoy oysters … but whenever I eat them, I think of her … certainly no aphrodisiac for me!!

Undeniably believe that which you said. Your favorite reason appeared to be
on the web the simplest thing to be aware of.
I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while people consider worries that they just don’t know about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top and defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people can take
a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
