You read all about it last week. And today, I’m here to say I survived it….and vlogged about it.
Yes, my dear Floggers…here is the fun, the tough and the not so pretty of last week’s City2Surf.
Sadly, I didn’t beat my PBT. Meh.
Apparently, I needed to be injured and limping like I was last year to do that…Go figure.
Anywho.
Still an awesome day. And as every year, I was left going home…a little sore but overwhelmingly inspired.
Next year, I’m going to start up an FYBF group to run for a charity.
Who’s with me??? (Yes, I’m lookin’ at you…)
2. Sign up to the awesome Digital Parents community ( if you haven’t already done so). DP was created by Brenda Gaddi who happens to be the creator of FYBF. She’s also created 4 gorgeous kidlets. In case you’d like to know. Or maybe not. But we’ll share that info just the same.
3. Add your post URL to the linky. Please only link up one post.
4. Grab the funky FYBF button and post it on your sidebar. Help spread the blogfloggin love.
5. Visit the blogs of your fellow FYBF’ers and share the comment love.
6. Share some more comment love. It’s proven to make your wrinkles disappear…overnight. #truth

I was thinking of you all morning, so glad it went well. Maybe next year I’ll join in. I wanted to do it this year but have dodgy knees that don’t take kindly to jogging. I could always walk it 🙂

Wow Grace! How is it possible to look that good after running 14 kms??
Obviously you were a little bit puffed, but you didn’t even look like you’d broken a sweat!
My face would be a glowing tomato!!
Well done!

You looked sensational after 14kms . I think a team of bloggers each running for our favourite charity would be an awesome idea. We can dress up ; ) and pair up with a pace or walking partner and party at the finish line.

Well done. I really admire anyone who challenges themselves physically – I spend so much time inside my own head instead of getting out there and pounding the pavement! Well done you for running AND blogging. Congrats.

Well done Grace (and Trish) (and all that took part really) I love the idea of a bloggers running group. Best I start saving to make it down there, mind you wouldn’t it be great if Brenda could change the dates of DPCON13 so that it was close to the city to surf so I only needed to save for one ticket down there ;0)

Well done to you and Trish 🙂 14 km!! Woot!
It’s a great idea for FYBF bloggers to bond together then. If I’m in Aust, I’ll be there for sure.
Hope you’ve rested well this week.

Awesome effort, Grace. It’s something my husband and I really want to do together as a family, but we might have to wait until some of our smaller people are a little bit older.

You are super woman. I’d love to get back into running, but fear it would take at least 11 years to regain some degree of fitness and stamina. At least 11 years.

Hi Grace,
Oh dear it would appear I’ve left my RUN too late….for any kind of C2S..but let me tell you a little story.
In the 1990s the City to Surf Primary School kids group was dominated by the Mt Druitt area Primary School where I was deputy. The teachers there used running, and getting fit as a terrific motivator for kids, and had a running club. Then the teachers, and the selected kids would do the city to surf. I was always so proud of the dedication of public school teachers who gave up afternoons and weekends to give these kids such an experience.
I was with you and Trish in spirit last week, and so glad you found each other in the crowd
Well done. Denyse x
