Not one to blow my own bazooka but I’m so excited about my latest achievement. I have to share!
It’s beyond being commissioned to write for Vanity Fair or signing up an exclusive book contract.
Better than a sales job offer with multi-billion dollar churning Google or Facebook.
This Mama does animal balloons. Yeah, she does.
Dogs, giraffes…even kangaroos! She does it all!
Well, just quietly, I do need to work on my flowers. But check out my love heart!
You know, since baking those dinosaur birthday cakes, I thought I had reached “Best Mama Ever” status. But I’ve realized that it’s a never-ending feat.
At this point, let me just ask that hair-raising parenting question: Why are children NEVER satisfied???
A big thanks needs to go to Mike Floyd the Balloon Twister for all the fabulous tutorials. YouTube is my oracle.
Despite the off-beat sense of humour and crazy eyes, Mike makes animal balloon making look easy peasy.
So, I’m in complete clown mode and excited about the prospects of all the amazing creature creations yet to be blown up and twisted.
I’ve even ordered extra packs of balloons. Let’s ignore the fact they look more like a form of birth contraception – albeit extremely slim and extraordinarily long. Ahems.
But tell me, what’s been your claim to “Best Mama Ever” fame?
While we’re on the topic of awesome Mamas and women in general, it’s International Women’s Day tomorrow.
And this year’s theme is “Inspiring Change”
It marks a time for all of us to see how far we’ve come in gender equality – in the work force, politics and financially. Yet, we need to remind ourselves of how far we still have to go.
The statistics for abuse and domestic violence are still at a deeply concerning high. Globally, 1 in 5 women are estimated to be victims of rape or attempted rape.
Let’s think of our sisters around the world, especially those less fortunate than ourselves.
1. Follow With Some Grace.
2. Sign up to the awesome Digital Parents community ( if you haven’t already done so). DP was created by Brenda Gaddi who happens to be the creator of FYBF. She’s also created 4 gorgeous kidlets. In case you’d like to know. Or maybe not. But we’ll share that info just the same.
3. Add your post URL to the linky. Please only link up one post.
4. Grab the funky FYBF button and post it on your sidebar. Help spread the blogfloggin love.
5. Visit the blogs of your fellow FYBF’ers and share the comment love

What can I say, you are awesome!
Not only can you twist a balloon into something magical, but you have your finger on the pulse and keep us updated with what is happening in this world of ours. I love the theme for international women’s day. It is now time to read up on this 🙂

Grace, you are awesome. I’ve given them a go, but I can never make one dog look the same so I never ventured to make a flower or kangaroo!! We still have the pack of long balloons in a cupboard somewhere. Happy International Women’s day for tomorrow. We’ve come along way, but I agree there is still a long way to go. x

That is way cool Grace. Def best mum ever status! I don’t really have a best mum ever claim to fame, I guess teaching her to play peek a boo?? She now does it by herself and has done since about 6 months old.
