Merry Christmas, lovelies!
I hope you’re off to a cracker day spending it with friends, family and loved ones, opening perfect presents.
Not sure if it’s just me and my 6 year marriage but there comes a point in a (our) long-term relationship when ideas for gifts just get harder and dare I say, becomes a tedious task.
Many occasions I’ve been one cashier away from buying Mr Surfer undies and socks.
And according to the phone conversation the other day, my husband seems to feel the same way:
Him: So, um…what do you want this year?
Me: Well, I dunno…can you surprise me?
Him: I was thinking…*uncomfortably long pause followed by nervous clearing of the throat* I thought maybe I get you a gift voucher.
Me: A gift voucher…?
Him: Yeah…but it would be a gift voucher from a shop that you really, really like.
Me: Well…in THAT case…*deep sarcasm*
We had a laugh afterwards because when it co
mes down to it, I think a gift voucher would be suffice.
As my husband told me last year and reminded me again this year, if we truly can’t think of anything we want or need for Christmas, life ain’t so bad.
So, excuse me while I go and open up my much anticipated gift voucher, alongside all those who I need and am so happy and grateful to have in my life.
Whatever you ask for this year, may it come with abundant love and all the best intentions for you in the new year and beyond.

Merry Christmas to you and your family Grace! As for gifts, I’m wondering if it’s not just a long term relationship thing. This year, I just gave Mr Imperfect a list to choose from. Let’s hope he stuck to that!

Merry Christmas Grace and Family, I am in the category of ‘we get what we need through the year, so what can we do that’s for Christmas and special?’ um not much. I learned a LONG time ago that over-expectations can lead to disappointment so now, we are very practical and exchange something small like vouchers (we like vouchers!) and some lovely words in a card. Denyse xx PS thanks for your loving support in 2015.
