Happy Sunday!
Oh, it’s tough. It’s getting very tough!
Outsmarted by 3 year old brains, my parenting negotiation skills are increasingly losing power.
When threats of no Thomas on TV or time out in the corner just don’t cut it anymore.
As our last desperate resort to ease the terrible three’s, we’ve brought in the good ol’ rewards chart. We’ve called in the big guy Lightening McQueen, topping it off with little prized Hot Wheels cars.
There’s less of the whiney voices and more of the “please’s” and “thank you’s”
No more protests when it comes to cleaning teeth or bedtime.
I never thought cars on a wall would save my sanity.
Now, what to do about getting some sleep???
Don’t forget the important stuff:
1. Copy and paste your Facebook Blog Page URL and link it up below
2. If you can, please “Like” a fellow blogger’s page through your personal account. (For some bizzaro reason, the number of Likes on a fan page is only tallied from personal accounts).
3. For the love of bloggy karma, don’t link and dash! Reciprocate the Facebook Like love, ‘k?
* Not a deal breaker but how about giving a shout out to a new page you found ? Doesn’t cost much. Give tenfold, get hundred back, I say.
P.S To try and get as many bloggers joining in, please share or retweet this post! The more pages there are here to “Like”, the more love there is to share!

OH MY GOODNESS, we’re going through the same thing with No.2 – where did you get the charts?
I just started one last week and it’s home made, and kinda working but not really – I think he needs the gimmicks! Hang in there – but I’m with you – it’s SOOO hard this stage, and I’ve got to say my daughter wasn’t like this – I’m starting to believe more and more than boys are SO much different to girls! Em xx

Grace that picture is so cute. I went through the star chart where my daughter eventually began even negotiating on that. She’d demand two or three stars … And silly me would cave in. I had to abandon it 🙁 but then I brought in the shark and dolphin stamps. Dolphin for good deeds and attitude, shark for bad. She’d wail if she got a shark stamp so it somehow worked. Now I just talk in a stern voice, and it works most of the time too although I feel like a big meanie xx

Glad to hear the reward chart is helping, although hearing this fills me with dread. I’m struggling to deal with 16 months and the bastard molars! If she is tantruming like this now I am gonna have to steal your reward chart in 18 months time! Lol!

We are about to try reward charts for the holidays again – I find they work great short term you need lots of different tools in your bag. Good luck – luckily they do grow to be 4 eventually!
