Mum to twins, wife to an avid surfer, reformed caffeine addict. Travelled the world and encountered countless adventures. Just when I feel I’ve done it all…life still sends me little surprises. And I write about them here…
Before baby vomit and toddler tantrums, I was one of those dreaded corporate sales fiends whose life was fuelled by ambitious five year plans and obsessive dreams to climb company ranks.
After spending almost 10 years in Japan building the sales career, I realised that the executive life no longer had its buzz and there was still so much missing. Cheesy, but true.
After my second attempt in returning to Australia, I met my future husband, Mr Surfer, in the summer of 2004.
While the courtship itself was long, the lead up to marriage and family all happened in a blink.
Married in November, 2009, our future identical twin sons were happily enjoying the celebrations with us at… 5 months in utero.
In January, 2010, Nunu and K-Bear (their nicknames) were born, 5 weeks premature.
Today, they’re my super-charged, energized Duracell bunnies whom I love to pieces, yet work me to the ground…
This blog is about our family life, my experiences as a mum and my journey to find that equilibrium between motherhood and sanity.
It’s based on a constant reminder that life doesn’t necessarily work on five year plans. That sometimes instead, it’s about a precarious balance between embracing the unexpected and learning to re-shape situations.
This is the place I share my thoughts. Do a bit of reflection. Hopefully, perhaps, with some grace.
